Goa Govt has initiated process for RP-2021 rectification

Stating that the Regional Plan-2021 is already in force, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, on Friday, informed the state legislative assembly through a written reply that the government has already initiated the process of rectification of this Plan, starting from Sattari and Canacona talukas.
“The government has invited comments/ rectifications from general public for a period from December 1, 2015 to January 18, 2016, against which, several comments/ rectifications are received,” the written reply maintained, “Hence consultations with various stakeholders stands completed.”
“The plan will be finalised taluka-wise after considering comments/ rectifications, which is a time-consuming process,” D’Souza added, further pointing out, “No specific time-frame is fixed for the purpose, as comments/ rectifications received are being forwarded to respective taluka offices for their inputs, after conducting necessary site inspections.”
“The State Level Committee shall decide further on comments/ rectifications on receipt of inputs received from the respective taluka offices,” he informed, maintaining that the process of rectifications or corrections to the Regional Plan-2021 is done under Section 17 of the Town and Country Planning Act.
